microblading after care

Do not disturb the flakes: a few days after you get your brows done, you will notice your brows begin to dry out and flake/scab. It is important that you do not pick or disturb the flakes that develop as it can pull out pigment and leave scarring.
Keep them DRY: A huge part of not disturbing the flakes is to keep them dry until the flakes have fallen off on their own. This means to keep them dry in the shower, avoid swimming, saunas, sweating (or any workouts), and steam until your flakes/scabs are completely gone (typically around 10 or so days).
No picking, rubbing, scratching or touching the brows (outside of cleansing). Let the flakes fall off on their own to avoid scarring and patchiness.
Keep them CLEAN: wash your brows very gently, morning and night for 10 days with the provided cleanser.
Apply a very thin layer of the aftercare balm 1-3 times a day, as needed, for 10 days. The idea is to keep your brows moisturized without leaving them gunky.
No makeup or skincare products on or directly around your brows for 14 days. You may wear your normal makeup and skincare products but keep a two-finger distance from your brows. Products can/will migrate throughout the day and we want to keep a clean area around your brows to avoid infection.
No anti-aging or acne products on your brows - even after they are healed. Anti-aging and acne products contain some form of chemical exfoliant (Retinol, Retin-A, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc) which will cause your brows to fade more quickly.
And most importantly, relax! Let your body do what it knows to do and heal. Everyone is different in how their body decides to heal, and you will go through many ups and downs throughout the healing process. Remember, any spots that do not hold or that heal patchy can be addressed at the touch up.
